有人說布達佩斯冷漠，有人說布達佩斯優雅，有人說布達佩斯安靜，也有人說布達佩斯的所有都可以濃縮到一杯咖啡中。</p>
<p>
城內第七區，伊麗莎白環路上的這座 Boscolo Hotel，大概就是現實裏的布達佩斯大飯店，但在100年前它有另一個名字叫 New York Palace，在建築一層有一間被稱作“世界最美咖啡館”。</p>

<p>
咖啡廳是1894年開始營業的，據說咖啡廳真正的老闆是一位歐洲的貴族紳士，因個人很喜歡歐洲文學和藝術，所以常常會相約當時的布達佩斯的文人墨客暢談文學和藝術。後來希望能結交更多志同道合的朋友，所以建立了這個咖啡館。</p>
<p>
咖啡館內部的意式水晶葡萄吊燈以及出自名畫家洛茨·卡羅伊之手的壁畫，考究的裝飾風格如同皇宮般的華麗，因而被稱爲“全世界最美的咖啡館”。Lisa說，據說老闆在開業的第一天就把店門的鑰匙丟進了多瑙河，並承諾咖啡廳永遠不關門，並且會一直爲需要的藝術家們(貧困潦倒的藝術家們)提供免費的紙和筆。</p>

<p>
咖啡館開幕於1894年，當時作爲紐約人壽保險大樓的一部分，所以取名爲 <strong>New York Cafe</strong>。</p>
<p>
門口手舉火炬的魔鬼雕塑，意大利式的水晶葡萄枝型吊燈，出自名畫家洛茨·卡羅伊之手的頂畫，上下三層上百米的大廳，金碧而輝煌，到處是雅緻而氣派的大理石柱子，天花全以金漆浮雕、彩繪壁畫和水晶燈裝飾，貨真價實的復古傢俱，融合意大利文藝復興和巴洛克式裝潢訴說着當年的繁榮奢華。</p>

<p>
當年這座大廳裏彙集了全歐洲的畫家、詩人、音樂家，沒有鈔票，用一幅手稿也能換一杯咖啡，這些手稿現在依然被咖啡館收藏。傳說中老闆把大門鑰匙拋入多瑙河，宣告象徵藝術靈感的 New York Cafe 永不關門。</p>
<p>
然而一戰爆發，加上隨之而來的經濟大蕭條，咖啡館昔日光景不再，桌上的菸灰缸上也標上“莫論時事，僅請消遣”。後來布達佩斯經歷二戰炮火，紐約咖啡館在1947年宣告歇業，直到半世紀年後纔再次開門迎客。</p>

<p>
紐約咖啡館是可以直接 walk in，但遊客比較多的時候需要在門口排隊，15-45分鐘不等，所以最好還是提前預約一下。</p>

<strong>Cappuccino</strong></p>
<p>
雖然叫 Cafe，但菜單上除了咖啡，牛排沙拉三文魚、漢堡蛋糕冰淇淋，要啥都有。我們來前剛喫過午飯，就點了兩杯卡布奇諾配招牌點心的下午茶套餐。</p>
<p>
不過這個拉花兒，也太隨意了吧。</p>

<strong>Crunchy hazelnut</strong></p>

<strong>1. 紐約巧克力蛋糕</strong>：似乎是甜點單裏的頭盤，馬卡龍大小的一枚，非常可愛，入口是非常濃的黑巧慕斯，內餡兒有酸甜的樹莓夾心，不錯。</p>
<p>
<strong>2. 歌劇院蛋糕</strong>：標準的 Opera 應該有7層纔對，這個偷懶做了 5 層：白巧克力-杏仁蛋糕-巧克力醬-咖啡醬-巧克力蛋糕。</p>
<p>
<strong>3. 榛子蛋糕</strong>：細膩的太妃榛子醬，表面有漂亮的焦糖釉面，口感味道高貴絲滑，三個裏面最好喫的一個。</p>

<strong>1. 蘋果派</strong>：現在大家都以爲蘋果派是美式甜品，其實最早的起源地是東歐，這個酥皮蘋果餡兒的就是最古早的做法。</p>

<strong>2. 拉科奇蛋糕</strong>：1958年布魯塞爾世博會，甜點師 János Rákóczi 首次推出一種頂着蛋白酥的酸酪蛋糕，立刻變成當年的爆款，至今依然是匈牙利的名菜。</p>
<p>
<strong>3. 薩赫蛋糕</strong>：這個蛋糕的歷史更加久遠，1832年在維也納薩赫酒店，16歲的學徒 Franz 趁主廚請假期間，以雙層黑巧克力蛋糕搭配雙層杏子醬創作了這道後來成爲國寶的點心。</p>
