1999年1月迎客的星巴克國貿店，是星巴克在中國內地的首家門店，因此，當“撤店”的消息在一個月前被證實，小夥伴們都驚呆了。“原來星巴克也有煩惱。”</p>
<p>
一杯35元以上的飲料是普通人消費得起的奢侈，在中國，這杯“咖啡”帶來的心理感受“物超所值”。</p>
<p>
“可能是體驗西方的生活方式吧。”白露上大學的時候曾在星巴克打工，待遇比在肯德基的同學好得多，“每4小時還有一杯免費員工飲”。那時，星巴克在中國市場還是一枝獨秀，“白領們不是有句話，‘我不是在星巴克，就是去星巴克的路上’。”</p>
<p>
對於國貿一期店關閉的原因，星巴克不做明確表態，但市場普遍認爲，主要原因是不斷上漲的租金已經突破了它的營收“紅線”。財經評論員馬光遠撰文指出，國貿商城一期作爲CBD地區首屈一指的高檔寫字樓，星巴克店鋪租金月均每平方米超過1000元，幾乎是附近國貿三期的兩倍。</p>
<p>
因爲經營環境變化而進行的調整其實早已傳遞到細枝末節。星巴克的餐巾紙不再像必勝客那麼厚了，杯子也都被默認轉換到“紙杯模式”。</p>
<p>
不過，真正的挑戰者纔剛剛顯現身影，他們被中國繁榮的市場吸引，來勢洶洶。</p>
<p>
贏商網COSTA所屬母公司WHITBREAD集團全球CEO在2011年夏專程飛到北京，爲COSTA在首都機場T3航站樓的中國第100家門店開業造勢。這幾乎是赤裸裸的“挑釁”，因爲，這個店址此前是星巴克所有。</p>
<p>
COSTA公司是英國最大的咖啡連鎖商。自2007年進入中國，COSTA已經取代星巴克，成爲中國市場上擴張最快的咖啡店。就像肯德基和麥當勞永遠形影不離，COSTA就像拿着星巴克的門店佈局圖在選址，幾乎每家門店都緊盯星巴克，而且在搶店面的時候似乎不計成本。有媒體報道，COSTA爲了拿下T3航站樓，不包括交給機場的物業費和各類管理費，每月付出的租金高達60萬元，是一家普通商場店月租金的4到5倍。</p>
<p>
時尚、浪漫的咖啡館背後，是資本的競技場。</p>
<p>
不過，食尚國際創始人王東生認爲，對於集團式的外資品牌而言，不用過於關注一兩家店的成與敗。“星巴克關店，是因爲每一年公司都有嚴格的成本覈算指標考覈，出於成熟的企業管理和策略考量。”王東生認爲，在某種意義上，店面只是大集團們向外展示的空間，龐大的資金滾動在更長的產業鏈上。</p>
