如今，咖啡有益健康的觀念已經深入人心，所有人都知道每天喝3杯咖啡能夠預防心臟病、中風、糖尿病、癌症、肝臟及腎臟疾病等。</p>

但我們熱愛咖啡並非是因爲它有益健康。我們熱愛咖啡師因爲這種香醇美味的飲品能讓我們的頭腦保持清醒，能夠給我們帶來無與倫比的味覺享受。我們熱愛咖啡是因爲其背後所蘊含的咖啡文化，那種與三兩好友在咖啡廳共度美好午後時光的感覺令我們難以割捨。</p>

例如在美國，工作時的休息被稱爲“Coffee Break”，這一傳統要追溯到工人們剛剛開始享受8小時工作制的年代。咖啡令人們短暫逃離工作，令身心得到片刻的放鬆。</p>
<p>
那麼，其他國家的人們是否也會像美國人一樣享受“Coffee Break”呢?在他們的傳統文化中，咖啡又扮演着怎樣的角色呢?</p>

<strong> 埃塞俄比亞：Buna Tetu</strong></p>
<p>
在埃塞俄比亞，“Buna Tetu”的意思是“喝咖啡”，這種近乎神聖的咖啡儀式需要長達3小時的準備時間，每天都要舉行3次。“Buna Tetu”是人們社交生活的重要組成部分，也是埃塞俄比亞傳統文化的標誌性印記。這種儀式通常由女性主持，目的在於祛除邪靈，爲每一位客人帶來祝福。儀式包括了烘焙、研磨、沖泡的全過程，每個環節都必不可少，意義非凡。</p>
<p>
喝咖啡的順序也非常講究，通常先由長者品嚐，之後按年齡順序依次飲用。每位客人都會品嚐3杯咖啡，濃度由濃到淡。這種每天喝3次、每次喝3杯咖啡的習俗被科學家證實能夠益壽延年。</p>

<strong> 瑞典：Fika</strong></p>
<p>
在瑞典，“Fika”是人們每天工作生活必不可少的部分。在“Fika”期間，人們會邊喝咖啡，邊享用麪包甜點。據稱，瑞典人每工作1小時便會休息5分鐘。瑞典的咖啡館也大多迎合了這種傳統，爲上班族們創造了休閒、放鬆、社交、品嚐美味咖啡和甜點的理想空間。</p>

<strong> 拉丁美洲：Merienda</strong></p>
<p>
生活在拉丁美洲的人們每天都會享受“Merienda”，即在午餐和晚餐之間的“下午茶”。例如在阿根廷，人們在享用“Merienda”時通常會選擇用咖啡、牛奶和牛角麪包搭配，或是茶、牛奶搭配烤麪包，亦或者是“Submarino”，即將一塊巧克力泡在熱牛奶裏。在夏天，人們會用香蕉奶昔代替熱飲，這樣一來就連孩子們也能享用“Merienda”!享用“Merienda”的目的主要是爲下午的工作提供充足能量和體力。</p>

<strong> 東歐：Gabelfrühstück</strong></p>
<p>
在東歐國家，例如奧地利和德國，人們每天都會享用“Gabelfrühstück”，即“第二頓早餐”，人們通常會選擇咖啡、水果或甜點，時間通常在上午10-11點之間，就連當地的學校都會嚴格執行“第二頓早餐”制度。</p>

<strong> Smoko</strong></p>
<p>
對於從事體力勞動的工人們來講，早晨或下午的“Smoko”是必不可少的，他們通常會邊喝咖啡或茶，邊抽顆香菸。如今，“Smoko”已經成爲了工人們應有的權力，從2014年開始，國家法律已對此有明文規定。</p>
